I upgraded this wreath my mom gave me with some fall decor I had stashed away. I think it turned out cute. It's very thick and full.

Spring Wreaths
Today is the first day in a week or so that I've felt like crafting! I finally started taking allergy shots about a month ago, but won't expect results for awhile yet. I had a sinus infection that I pretended didn't exist over Easter Break and it turned into pink eye (I didn't know that could happen!) in both eyes. So, after a few days off work and not being able to do anything (including scratch my eyes out, which is what I wanted most!) I think I'm finally on the mend.
One of my mom's best friends celebrated her 60th birthday yesterday so I made a burlap wreath for her. I started making wreaths right before Christmas and have been exploring with various fabrics, ribbons, and types of wreaths. This one has a wire frame and some pretty forsythia flowers. It's hard to see the details, but there is a beautiful sheer yellow ribbon, and a tiny thread of green to tie in the branches. I hope she loves it!
Here is a card I made recently for my Pastor and his wife. I didn't realize the photo was a little blurry, but the stamp (from Our Daily Bread Designs) says "Mightier than the thunder of the great waters, mightier than the breakers of the sea-- the Lord on high is mighty." -Psalm 93:4. I love the background paper, its also from ODBD and fits along perfectly with this stamp set.

Christmas Wreath
I saw the CUTEST homemade ornament wreaths on pinterest (no idea where or I'd give the link!) so I ran to Walmart during the Black Friday weekend and bought some non-shattering plastic ornaments.
First, take an old metal clothes-hanger (disclaimer... the cheap, easy to bend kind works better than the high-quality ones!) and untwist to make a general circle shape. Then slide on about 50 ornaments, adding a smaller one for every 2-4 big ones. The more unique the ornaments, then cooler effect you'll get! When you've filled up the hanger (I had two ornaments leftover from my set) just twist the two ends together. If you used the high-quality clothes-hangers you might need pliers to get the pieces just right.
Add a bow and POOF you're done! (I totally did not even realize my wreath was crooked when I hung it up to take a picture! I do realize that the hanger is glaringly red... I need to fix that!! :-/)

Two more wreaths
Here is a wreath I made by wrapping a styrofoam wreath with zebra print floral ribbon. Then, I glued on several pieces of various blue ribbon, along with a fuzzy bit on the side. I put a bit of black chalkboard paper into a small frame and glued it on front, where I will write the teacher's name it's going to. I added buttons and other sparkly things around it for some extra fun. She's going to love it!
I made another school supply wreath by taking an old Christmas wreath and tearing the pine, holly, and poinsettias off (and storing them for another project, of course!) It had the brown vines sticking off, and I didn't want that, so I re-wrapped the wreath using floral wire.
I added school supplies and voila! Super cute!

Another Wreath
I made this wreath last night for my mom to hang on the office door at school. It doesn't have a "Welcome to Our Class" sign so it can be used anywhere! I love it.

New Project Stuff
Here is a pack of 12x24 awesome K&Company paper I picked up from Michaels on Monday. Guess how much it cost!?! $6.99... no joke! They only had 2 packs left, so of course I bought both of them! I love it! I can't wait to make something with it- it's so glossy!
And next is a book wreath I made using part of one of the husband's old police books. The pages were pretty big; next time I'll cut them first (or use smaller pages)! Not bad for a first try, I think!
The next project was a card I made using a new stamp I got for a dollar. I also got a chance to use my new Botanicals and Hannah Montana cartridges. Yay! I think it's cute. I used a water color pen thing to color the paper blue, and have a matching cut-out on the inside. I also got a chance to play with the pearls I got (also on sale at Michaels!)
And for my most proud project I've completed in the past few days... a layout using pictures from our Bermuda (2008) vacation.
I think it's absolutely beautiful! I scraplifted the design from someone on the Cricut messageboard, but of course added my own spin to it. Here's a closer look.
It looks SO much better in real life. I've got little golden gems hidden in the coral, and the treasure chest is filled with gems and pearls. I used pop-dots to make the layout 3-Dish, as well. I didn't have a 6x4 picture of the husband, so I used what I did have along with pictures of little fish he spent the day taking pictures of. I think it turned out really well. Now if only I could spend so much time working on each page... maybe I'll eventually get finished!
And that's all for now. It's not all I've done since my last post, but it's enough to share for now. I've got a couple other things in the works :-).
