A few more cards

Here are a few more cards I made while off for Easter.

Thank You Cards

I needed a few thank-you cards last week, and used this lovely DCWV paper I've had in my craft room for ages but never seemed inspiring enough to use... until now! It's called "The Botanicals Stack" and it's from a few years ago. I ended up with more than 15 cards before my energy started to drain. I also used stamps from Papertrey Ink, JustRite Papercraft, and Stampin' Up. I didn't get a picture of all of my cards, apparently, but have already sent them out.

Magnolia Birthday Card

Here's another card I made today, this time using the magnolia blossom from JustRite Papercraft. It's quite lovely! I colored the flower with my copic markers, and added a sentiment inside the card from Our Daily Bread Designs. They're getting to be my two favorite places! The "Your special day" tiny tag is from Papertrey Ink. I have to add that I LOVE the svg cuts on my new Cricut Explore. They made the magnolia shadow a breeze!

Thinking of You

Here is a card I made using Our Daily Bread Designs for the verse and Just Rite Papercraft for the inside. I also used my Cricut explore to cut out the sparrow.

Purple Hydrangea Card

What?!? Two cards in the same night? I had colored this beautiful JustRite hydrangea stamp a few days ago and thought I had ruined it by using the purple shadow cut behind it. Tonight, though, playing with my new scripture stamps I decided to make myself use it. It turned out cute!

I just have to add that I love how crisp and clear the scriptures are when I stamp with them! I didn't even have to use sandpaper to stiffen the edges to hold the ink. Beautiful!

Amazing Grace Card

I bought a few new stamps from Our Daily Bread Designs for my birthday and they came in the mail yesterday! (I love priority 2-day shipping.) One of them was an Amazing Grace Hymn background stamp, and the other was a set of scripture/quote stamps. I'm sure you'll be seeing them often over the next few weeks.

I'm a little obsessed with distressing and using my craft iron, so I stamped the hymn onto white paper and layered on Walnut Ink to get the look I was going for. It turned out cute! The shadows in my craft room are awful, especially after dark, but you get the picture... :-)

Learning to Watercolor

My sweet sister bought me a "Learn to Watercolor Nature" book for my birthday, along with a watercolor palette. I've been pr...
